Over the Christmas and New Years holiday period, I cycled from St. Augustine to Key West following the Adventure Cycling route. Eight days of wonderful, winter cycling in ideal temperatures. A total of 540 miles. I would highly recommend the trip to anyone who has a desire for a winter tour. (Personally, I’d prefer something farther north in the summer.)

I rode the Cycle North Carolina event (about 450 miles in 7 days as I recall) this past fall with about 1050 other cyclist. It was a great ride and I would highly recommend it.

In the last couple of years I’ve done the Bicycle Tour of Colorado and the Ride the Rockies – both are spectacular, supported, large-group rides. I’m thinking of doing one of them again this summer. I’m also thinking about riding a portion of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (mapped by Adventure Cycling.)

Anyone interested in road touring or mountain bike touring?
