Hey all, I saw a thread on the www.crazyguyonabike.com website in which a guy is asking for the safest route from the Amtrak station on Clifford Lane (Jacksonville) to A1A.

I've cycled through that area a few times, but did not feel qualified to give him the best advice. Can anyone help? Here is his exact question:

"I will be arriving in Jacksonville, Fla. via Amtrak to begin a three week tour on January 19 of next month. I will start the tour from the Amtrak station on Clifford Lane. Does anyone living in that vicinity know of a safe way heading east to the ACA Atlantic Coast Route (A1A)? I am aware of Jacksonville's reputation as a not so bike friendly city and am a little intimidated to be honest. Appreciate any feedback!"
