3 of us rode the inaugural Bridgework Special from Boone Park on a cold, very windy morning today. The tennis courts have facilities, and is a 3.1 mile ride down Park St., across Post St. to Riverside Ave., and to the base of the Acosta. A 2 mile ride down the northbank riverwalk and back would have worked better at the beginning as part of our warmup and we'll probably do that next time.

Bridgework intervals can be ridden at your pace, intensity, and quantity. The Acosta is definitely easier climbing from Riverside than San Marco. All 3 of us did 5 loops total and netted 21 miles. When you're done with your loops you wait on Riverside Ave. across from the YMCA for the others, and then ride on in. We swung by Zen Cog on the way back but no one was home.

Next week: the Palm Valley bridge, details on the website's "Area Rides" page.

Come join us for a TRUE workout!

Six (6) loops over the Acosta from Boone Park gives you 1232 ft. of total elevation, FYI.

I'll post similar stats for the Palm Valley Bridge following it's next ride.
