Hey guys (and gals),

I'm organizing a free bike tour of Historic Springfield (est 1869), one of the historic districts near Downtown Jacksonville.

It will be a guided, leisurely, relaxing ride with unique 19th century/early 20th centruy architecture, intresting history, and beautiful tree canopy to enjoy.

Starting and ending at Three Layers Cafe, the newly crowned "The Best Coffee House in Jax"

The neighborhood is bike friendly, with sidewalks, shadey streets, and some bike lanes.

This is totally free and non-profit. Just a cool way to enjoy a neighborhood that used to be quite awful, but is now one of the "coolest" up & coming neighborhoods in the city (named Southern Living's #1 Comeback Nieghborhood in the South - Jan 2010).

If you're interested, just meet at Three Layers Cafe, 1602 Walnut Street, 32206 (corner of 6th & Walnut) on Saturday, May 8th @ 10am.

Think we'll have a good crowd, I know a lot of the bike lovers in the urban core are going to be there....hope you guys will make it too.

Enjoy.
