My son Jazz just completed high school. He did not want to spend his last summer before university at the beach or sleeping or wasting away watching tv. He wanted adventure, excitement and memories.

He decided to Bikepack the Continental Divide!

The divide ride is a 2,700-mile mountain bike trail that follows the Continental Divide from Banff, Alberta, Canada, south to the Mexican border.

Starting July 1 2010, Jazz and his Uncle Jeff will ride the trail from Banff Canada to Jackson Hole Wyoming which is about 1000 miles. (Jeff could only take off a month from work)

They will ride the trail alone and unsupported through the wilderness. Sleeping in tents and hoping to find enough stores along the way to buy food. The 26lb bikes weigh over 50lbs when loaded with gear.

You can follow them on their blog at: http://jazztadventure.blogspot.com/
