Hello fellow bikies, We are in Folkston, Ga just across the border from Hillard, via US 1. We are riding some roads around here and maping out club rides for anyone interested. We prefer country roads with some hills and rode 20 miles yesterday on just that...it was Lovely!!! We will add distance tomorrow and keep ya'll updated on our route. So far, it is US1 into Folkston, pickup 252northeast for about 7 miles, and left onto River Road. We road River Road for, maybe 5 miles, and turned around at a really cool goat farm. Goat cheese! anyone!:-)) Very nice. Roads not perfect, but not bad either. Some rat-chewed road edges on 252 but still there, ie no wash out surfaces. Stay tuned for updates...often, I Hope!!! BethAnn & Chris Clann Duncan |

We do ride Spanish Creek as part of our loop from Homeland, via El Terrace, Spanish Creek and back to Folkston on Post Rd or continue on from Spanish Creek to Sardis Church and out to Okee via 121 or on back to Folkston on 121. We were riding this area regularly several times a week, building mileage from 25 to 50 miles. Then we found a route out here on this side of "town", also in the country. It is 252 to River Rd out to 301. We are tweeking this route as 301 is soooo looong back to Folkston. Found a cross road on the map we haven't checked out on the motorcyle yet. Hope it is nice. We usually ride mid to late mornings during the week and anytime on the weekends. Our pace varies on winds and weightlifting (arg!). Got to love it! :-)) BethAnn and Chris |

| Nice well im not very familiar with all the routes you talk about. Did i ever mention im from Kingsland? But ill ask the other 2-3 guys to see if we can ride together. We ride once a week on Saturday at 8am. Maybe we can work something out. I know we all have things to do. Off topic now, but are you guys doing the Okefenokee Ride on the 18th? Maybe we can meet there and try to organize a ride from there. Talking about PACE!!! yeah varies alot too mainly 16-20 on the flats W/wind or against wing. I rode out here in Tampa Bay, FL on the Pinellas Trail; tomorrow i will try to go for a century ride. Hope we can ride together sometime. |

I don't know about the ride at Okee next week? We did the Earth Day ride there last year this time, put on by the Camden Bike shop. Yep, the wind....Arg! 23mph riding one way, turn around and, ugh, 10mph. Well, it substitutes hill training and squats day in the gym!:-)) At least that is what I keep telling myself :-) |

Talked to the Camden bike shop today. They are running the same ride as last year this Saturday, 9am, for Earth Day. Weather looks good. Meets at the Okee Resource center next to the courthouse in Folkston. Rides down Post to Sardis Church rd out to 121 to the Okee Adventures and back for 41 miles. Nice quiet rolling roads. Hope to see ya'll there. BethAnn and Chris |

The route you all did is one Chris and I do regularly. Nice hills (at least, "I" call them hills- coming from Charleston SC:-)) and No Bad Dogs! Yep, that was me at the stop sign to hwy 40 at the church. I was just finishing up a 20-miler. Gorgeous!!! weather today!! Hope everyone got out to ride. We did some spinning miles, babysitting sore knees from playtime with horses :-))) See ya on Saturday at Earth Day Ride! BethAnn |

| Hahha!!! Dogs yeah when we do our other route where we go north and then take Spanish creek all the way to 121 theres a pack of dogs that always chase us. Yeah i did 15 miles yesterday tried to do some interval training but its hard to do it here where i live to much traffic. Unfortunately i managed to get 3 sets in. Then I fell at the stop light still had one shoed clipped; leaned to spin the pedal and "splat" next thing im on the ground. So that was you i honked in the little red car while i was passing i waved but i doubt you saw me. |

We've been chased by a few on Spanish Creek rd, yard is on a "bluff", and a few on El Terrace rd as you get to community just before Homeland. There is also a really gnarley Rottweiler behind hog fence and hot wire. He appears pretty nasty....fence doesn't seem That strong...Cujo...ugh. Yep, I did see you with an eye on cars turning in, red car with bike on butt rack. My first "bikie" car was a Chevy chevette, silver blue, like my bike, a Raliegh Record Ace. Long time ago...smiles. |
