Was exploring your area and what a great web site and group of cyclists you have. My two sons and I are going to be traveling down to Florida and staying at Femandina Beach between March 28 and April 3. A couple of questions I was hopig someone could assist us with:

1)Does your club have daily (road) rides during the above dates and can anyone participate? Will a calendar be posted on your website?

2)Not knowing the area could anyone suggest any routes in the Famandina Beach area that are 20-50 miles? Perhaps just a good area to start from would be beneficial. Since we will have driven over 1200 miles we want to spend more time in the saddle than the drivers’ seat.

Any assistance would be appreciated and hope to participate in some of your rides. Just a FYI we are members of the Cherry Capital Cycling Club in Traverse City Michigan http://www.cherrycapitalcyclingclub.org

Ron:

You are more than welcome to join our rides. Most of our rides start somewhere in Jacksonville, so it will be somewhat of a trip for you. For our daily rides, click on the tabs at the left "Rides-Area Rides" Not all are NFBC rides, but many are. Our "Club" rides are our Sunday rides...that Sunday (March 28th), the "Fleming Island/Thunder Road" ride is scheduled. This is about as far away from where you will be as we can get.

We have a club family, the Tomassetti's, who live in Fernandina Beach. Perhaps they will chime in with ride options. If you want a route that loops through Fernandina Beach, click on "Maps" and download the "Pirate Loop". that ride goes through Fernandina Beach and is in the 50 mile range.

Feel free to contact me via e-mail if you have more questions.
