Area/Repeating Rides

The North Florida Bicycle Club's Area Weekly / Repeating rides are open to everyone and best of all they're free! Some of these rides listed are offered by local bike shops. Club sponsored rides can be identified by a note in the description that says something like “This ride counts for points and mileage”.

Please read and understand the following points prior to your participation:

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED AS A MATTER OF CLUB POLICY.  Bicycles are subject to almost all of the same rules as motor vehicles when on the road.

Headphones are illegal under state law.

Anyone riding with a NFBC sponsored ride must sign a ride sheet at the beginning of the ride, which includes a
 Waiver of LiabilityNO EXCEPTIONS!

A minor must have have parental or guardian permission to participate in an NFBC sponsored ride.  A separate Minor Waiver of Liability is provided for this purpose, and must be signed and  presented to the ride leader before the start of the ride  – NO EXCEPTIONS!

Any rider refusing to sign the wavier is not considered part of the NFBC ride.

When riding, please be predictable and courteous.  For your safety and others, inform others in your group of your intended movements and don’t do anything suddenly.  A, B, C and S designators indicate the intensity of the rides and suggest an average speed the group will maintain.

See our "CLUB RIDES" section for our weekly Sunday ride, which varies from week to week.  See our Social Ride list for beginning and slower paced rides.

Ride Ratings:
A = 18-21 MPH     B = 14-17 MPH     C = up to 14 MPH
S = Social Ride.  The emphasis is on the social side of the club, so the speed will be that of the slowest rider in the group.

Rides often split off into many rates of speed.  All club sponsored rides will have a leader who’s contact information will be made available through the weekly ride announcement e-mail.  The information contained in the ride descriptions below is intended to be accurate, but the weekly ride announcement will provide the final details,  Last minute changes may occur to these rides and subscribed members will receive these updates via email.  If you are not subscribed to receive last minute ride updates via email, and wish to, update your preference in your profile.  The ride times vary based on the event and the time of year.  The times listed on the web site for each ride are generally correct, but the final time set will be in accordance with the ride announcement e-mail.  The ride time indicated is the time we BEGIN riding, so arrive early enough to allow enough time to get your bike and yourself ready.  Please be courteous to your fellow riders and be ready to ride on time.

People interested in leading a ride or creating a ride should contact the Ride Director at RideDirector@nfbc.us
