Mission Statement

Our mission as the NFBC Charity Ride Team is to represent the North Florida Bicycle Club in local charity rides.  The team gives opportunity for all level of cyclist wanting to share in our enthusiasm for camaraderie as we “cycle for a cause.”

Requirements and Rules:  Charity Ride Team Rules

2013 Ride Schedule:

  • March 12 - TEAM RALLY/Sneakers on Point Meadow Drive
  • March 23 - Katie Ride for Life Training Ride & Breakfast
  • April 20 – Katie Ride for Life
  • May 18- Tour De Cure
  • MS Cycle to the Shore - TBA 
  • November – Bike 26.2 with Donna

NFBC Charity Ride Team Annual Points Competition:

The purpose of this program is to reward members for their commitment to the team.  Cyclist will be rewarded at the end of the year for 1) top fundraiser   2) most points.  This competition is for Charity Team members only and is separate from general NFBC competitions.  Points as follows:

  • Five points (5) registered rider
  • Five points (5) ride leader (social/C, B, A/A+)
  • Ten points (10) top fundraiser
  • Five points (5) event volunteer
  • Three points (3) writing a published Wheel Speak article
  • Three points (3) training ride, appreciation ride, team meeting
