This session is an experiential tour of several of Jacksonville's urban and suburban streets. The route includes some of the most intimidating road features (interesections, interchanges, merges, etc.) that one might encounter in Jacksonville. We'll ride as a group to each feature. Then, we'll stop to survey and discuss each exercise location. We'll observe, discuss and if necessary, draw the features. Then we'll discuss the potential conflicts and the strategies necessary for safe passage through the feature. Then an instructor will demonstrate the strategy and each individual student will ride solo through the feature. Then we'll regroup and ride to the next feature. The entire session is designed to give you the confidence and skills necessary to handle any situation that you may encounter. In order to participate in this class you must have successfully completed both Train Your Bike and The Truth and Techniques of Traffic Cycling. Registration: While not required for NFBC, registration is required with Florida Bicycle Association.
