The 5th Annual Wrigley Ride VeloFest will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at Sykes & Cooper Farms in Elkton, Florida. The Ride will begin mid-morning, and there will be plenty of activities for the whole family both before and after, including live music, great food and more.
The Wrigley Ride honors Bryan Wrigley, a cyclist who was killed by a hit-and-run driver. The ride is fully SAG supported, with rest stops every 10 to 15 miles. Teams are encouraged. All funds raised will go to the Velo Fest Community Initiative for projects that educate cyclists and non-cyclists on how to safely share the road. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Bryan B. Wrigley Scholarship at Newberry College, a scholarship created by his family at his alma mater to honor Brayn's ambitious spirit.
There are several routes of varying lengths (100K, 50K and 25K) available to participating cyclists.
