Katie Ride

The Katie Ride is a premier bicycle touring event catering to cyclists of all abilities. The annual fundraiser is held on beautiful Amelia Island ("Top 10 Island in the United States" - Conde Nast Traveler 2012 Readers' Choice Awards) and features routes of 103 miles, 63 miles, 34 miles, 18 miles, fun ride and an off-road ride. The event was created in 2005 to raise awareness for organ donation and support the Katie Caples Foundation nationally recognized organ donor education program. The 12th anniversary of the event is Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Katie Walk

The Katie Walk was introduced in 2009 by popular demand as an alternative to the ride and features historic Fort Clinch State Park and the beach on the north end of Amelia Island.

Who Rides? Who Walks?

From avid cyclists to those who "pull out the beach cruiser a couple of times each year" - the ride truly caters to everyone. And if cycling isn't your thing you can join the increasingly popular Katie Walk.

Why We Ride & Walk

More than 125,000 adults and children in the United States are currently waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. On average, 21 people will die each day in the United States due to a lack of available organs for transplant. And while 90% of Americans say they support organ donation, less than 44% are currently registered. Funds raised through this event support the Katie Caples Foundation and its mission to increase the number of registered organ donors to eliminate the wait for individuals on the national transplant list.

Proceeds from the Katie Ride event support the Katie Caples Foundation nationally recognized organ donor education program.

CYCLISTS (103, 63, 34, 18 & Off-Road) MUST RAISE A MINIMUM OF $125 (IN ADDITION TO THE REGISTRATION FEE) BEFORE CHECK-IN TO PARTICIPATE.
