WE WANT THIS TO BE A FUN, FAMILY EVENT! HELMETS AND BRAKES ARE REQUIRED
Headphones are prohibited by Florida State Law, per FS 316.304. Each bicycle must be equipped with at least one brake that meets the requirement of FS 316.2065(14).

Last year we maintained a safe, fun, family oriented ride for everyone by using ride marshals, bicycle tags and well published ride rules. We will use these same tools again this year, to make the ride enjoyable for everybody.

INSURANCE: Our insurance protects NFBC, all those who make the ride possible and the registered riders. It does not offer any protection for those who “show up” for the ride without registering.
Cancellation Policy: No Refunds, No Rain Dates.

Sorry, but there is no rain date and we cannot offer refunds. The event takes place, rain or shine. If for some reason you cannot attend the ride after registering, you can pick up your T-shirt at the next scheduled Tuesday NFBC club meeting or have someone pick it up at the ride for you. Otherwise, it becomes the property of the club.

The North Florida Bicycle Club brings you a classic one-day bicycle event designed for all road cyclists, the 23rd Annual Endless Summer Watermelon Ride.

Enjoy a wonderful bike ride through country and coastal roads, and along the St. Johns River. There are both ocean-side and river rest stops. We’ll provide pre-ride snacks, rest stops, a post-ride lunch, mechanical support, motorcycle escorts, and roving SAGs.

Choose a distance of 21, 32, 53, 69, or 100 miles. The ride will start at the Ponte Vedra High School on Sunday, September 9, 2012.

Ride Registration

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION NOTE, PLEASE READ!  All Riders MUST Register Separately.  For members with a family membership, the primary member and secondary member - usually husband and wife, must log in and register separately.

Duplicate registrations will be cancelled.

If you have an issue registering for the ride, please contact the Membership Director or the Webmaster before proceeding.

Club express currently has no way for you to register a minor child. If you want to register a minor child, then contact the Membership Director at www.membership@nfbc.us. Jodi will send you a PDF application. Download it, fill out and sign it (one each per child) and mail it back by snail mail.  To ensure that it isn’t lost, email Jodi when you send it and she’ll be looking for it.
