Pedal Golden Isles (PGI) offers noncompetitive, supported rides of 20, 40, and 62 miles. One of the goals of Bike Walk Golden Isles is to promote safe cycling. These rides are intended to be recreational rides rather than races, offering an opportunity to cycle with old friends and make new friends along the routes at the frequent rest stops.

Pedal Golden Isles is BWGI’s largest fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from this ride allow us to expand the reach of our programs as well as purchase items like bike helmets, lights and essential safety gear.

All participants are required to wear a bike helmet. Bike Walk Golden Isles will provide a correctly-fitted helmet at the event if any riders are in need of the required safety equipment. E-bikes, tandem bikes, adult trikes, stand-up bikes and recumbent bikes are permitted in PGI. E-motos, mopeds, scooters, electric unicycles and other electric personal assistive mobility devices (EPAMDS are not permitted. Bikes must have operable pedals to propel forward.
