Meeting topic: LET’S TALK ABOUT HIT AND RUNS
More than six months have passed since June 2019 when Susanne Landino and Bonnie Parry were struck and killed while biking along Race Track Road in St. Johns County, FL. The driver fled the scene of the accident.
Mary Greenhill, a member of the North Florida Bicycle Club has been following this case closely. Mary along with 14 other NFBC members recently attended pretrial of the accused Henry Haigler where Mr. Haigler with his attorney entered a non-negotiated guilty plea.
The sentencing hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Courtroom 328, Richard O. Watson Judicial Center, 4010 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Your attendance and support at the sentencing will help the Landina and Parry families to get justice.
At the next NFBC Member Meeting we will discuss hit and run accidents involving cyclists. Mary Greenhill will have an update on the case and then the Executive Director of the Justice Coalition, Jo-Lee Manning, will tell us about victim advocacy and what we can do to help make sure Henry Haigler gets the sentence he deserves.
