The Amelia Island Trail is an off-road paved recreational path on which no cars are allowed. Experienced Ride Leaders will ride at the front and rear of the group and no rider will be left behind. As you ride you will learn how to ride safely with a group.
The rides begins at the North Trailhead of the Amelia Island Trail within Peters Point Beachfront Park and goes south 7.6 miles to the turn-around point at Sawpit Creek Boat Ramp on Big Talbot Island and then it heads back to the start for a total distance of just over 15 miles.
It will be just about lunch time when the ride finishes so bring a lunch or buy lunch from the food truck and eat with the group at one of the covered picnic tables at Peter’s Point.
Please note that minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent on North Florida Bicycle Club Rides.
