We had a great turnout by the club last year. Let's do it again!
Sunday's "Bridge" Ride, which begins and ends at The Distillery Restaurant (416 W. Liberty St, Savannah, GA 31419), offers routes of 37, 62, and 102 miles. All Bridge rides depart Savannah at 7:30 am via the impressive Talmadge Memorial Bridge which spans the Savannah River. There are 7/8 rest stops on the century route, and they all offer water, sports drink, fruit, and a wide variety of both salty and sweet snacks. The Isle of Hope route (25 mile route) departs at 8:00 am and spins over to the scenic Isle of Hope and features views of oaks and marinas and passes by two historic cemeteries.
All pre-registered riders who complete the century will receive a commemorative "100 Mile Club" pint glass!
Going for the weekend? There is an unsupported "warm-up" ride on Saturday:
Saturday's Hendrix Park Ride begins and ends at Hendrix Park in nearby Black Creek, GA, at 8:30 am. Located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Savannah, this casual, 'warm up' ride offers a 31 mile route and features views of scenic farmland. It is free of charge and will be mapped and marked. There will not be a rest stop on the route, but there is a convenience store.
